Private Location (8/22/14): Whiskey or Scotch?

I'd brought some alcohol in little, unopened bottles to this location to use as trigger objects and left them in the Home Office, which seemed to be a room that was used and enjoyed by the men of the house. In this clip, you'll hear me say, "My name is Ann. Do you want me to leave the whiskey or scotch behind [when I leave]?" You'll hear the outdoor concert in the background. This is a 2nd generation clip from my Olympus DVR. As we're listening to the replay in the Office, you'll hear Read more [...]

Private Location (8/22/14): Is Jim a “dumb ass”?

There are some rude and outspoken spirits at this location! My group was in the Office and we'd heard a possible EVP that called Jim a "dumb ass." On a previous visit, someone/something had called Jim a "dumb ass" and now he was getting called it again. In a quick EVP session, we went around in a circle and everyone asked if the spirits thought s/he was a "dumb ass." In this clip, you'll hear Jim say, "Let's try it again. Am I a dumb ass?" At the 9 second mark, you'll hear what sounds like Read more [...]

Private Location (8/22/14): “F–king liar!”

I have started my review of my recordings from this private investigation. This clip is from the first room my group did: The parlor on the front left side of the house (from the front door). In this clip, you'll hear Mike say, "Just my speaker should be fine" to use for a playback of a quick EVP session. Just as he's finishing his statement, I clearly hear, "F---ing liar!" Read more [...]

Shinn House (8/8/14): Help Identify a Possible EVP

I am asking for some help in confirming this EVP. I won't tell you what room it was recorded in as that could influence what you hear. Clip 1: In Clip 1, you'll hear me ask the question, "I'm sitting on a mat on the floor. What is the mat made out of?" I've amplified the section that I think contains the possible EVP because it's somewhat faint. What do you hear? It's important that I note that while my group asked questions for a quick EVP session, Michelle (who was standing out Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): “Quick! Before They Leave!”

Laura J's group had just gotten back to the Crows Nest on the 2nd floor and I'd put my DVR down on the table where I was sitting. You can hear 2 people talking in the background. Then I hear someone/something say what sounds like, "Smoke it now!" Was this referring to the 2 cigars I'd brought for trigger objects? Were they going to smoke the cigars before I packed them up and took them back home? Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): “Yes, We Are”

This is our last round of questions for our last EVP session of a very eventful night. Laura J's group was in the nice sitting area in the back of the Library. You'll hear me ask, "Are you sad that we're going to be leaving soon?" I hear a response to my question. Note: I have reduced the background hiss (this is a 2nd generation recording) and amplified the sounds so you can hear it better. Thanks, you guys (and women). I live in Alameda, so I'll stop by on another day to talk with Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): “Bill Clinton” Room: Beer, buds, and….

Laura J's group had split up on the 3rd floor. Debbie and John were in the Uniform Room; Pam and Mike were in the Chief's Office; and Laura J and I were in the "Bill Clinton" office (so named because there was a photo of him in the office; also known as Tom's Office). Laura J and I were trying to get the spirits to convey messages to Debbie and John who were at the end of the hallway. You'll hear me say, "It's a phrase [I want you to convey to them]. Are you [the spirits] ready?" Right before Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): A German Soldier in the Uniform Room?

This is another clip from the Uniform Room. We are listening to a playback of Laura J's recording, so it is a 2nd generation recording. In it, you'll hear Mike say, "If it matters, I'm half German" which is followed by an EVP. Right after the EVP, Mike continues to say, "are there any German soldiers in this room?" The EVP is both fascinating and creepy at the same time. The greeting was very common in Nazi Germany. So was there the spirit of a German soldier in the Uniform Room with us? Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): Party in the Uniform Room (3rd Floor)

The Uniform Room up on the 3rd floor was pretty active for Laura J's group. As part of setting up, everyone put on a helmet or hat of some kind. Debbie and Laura J went so far as to put on jackets (which was a lot to put on, given how hot it was in that room). We were having a good time playing dress up and laughing. The flashlights were all on at one point, which we took to mean that the spirits were also enjoying what we were doing. In this clip, Laura J has just told us that all the flashlights Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (7/26/14): While on Break

This was recorded during our break in the Crows Nest during the investigation. My DVR was on the table where I was sitting. You can hear Laura J talking and then what is a very clear and direct EVP. It's an EVP because no one around me said anything, none of us would have said it, and I don't think anyone was thinking it at the time. Give a listen and let me know what you hear. (Good thing I didn't hear this at the time!) Read more [...]
