Train Depot (3/20/15): Photo of Bug/Orb?

These photos were taken in the middle room of the depot. This is the first photo I took in the series. This is the photo with the bug/org. And this is the photo I took right after the one with the bug/orb. A possible explanation for the orb in the middle photo is that it's a bug. While we were investigating, there was a large moth flying about in the middle room. The "orb" is pretty big and has almost an iridescent sheen to it. Moths, like butterflies, have what Read more [...]

Private Investigation (2/13/15), Pleasanton, CA: In the Basement (Part 2)

More recordings from the basement. Clip 1: This is a 2nd generation recording. You'll hear Laura J ask what the underground tunnels were used for. At the 8 second mark, I can what sounds like, "Thank you." Note that prior to the 8 seconds, I can also hear other voices talking but can't make out what they're saying. Clip 2: You'll hear Mike ask, "Do employees do naughty things down in this basement?" At the 6 second mark, I can hear a male voice quickly say what sounds like, Read more [...]

Private Location (2/13/15), Pleasanton, CA: In the Basement (Part 1)

We ended our night in the basement. Based on the number of EVPs I recorded in this location, it seems like we should've spent more time in the basement. We were down there for only 16 minutes but there are a lot of EVPs. Clip 1: In this clip, you'll hear me say, "It's, uh, soda syrup." Mike says, "Yeah, syrup." Chris replies, "Oh." Right after Chris, a male voice can be heard saying what sounds like, "Diet in here." It's possible that the disembodied voice is referring to the Diet Pepsi Read more [...]

Private Investigation (2/13/15), Pleasanton, CA: In the Back Area (Part 2)

More EVPs recorded in the back area of this location. Clip 1: This one is pretty clear even though it's my recording of a replay of a quick EVP session. (A long way of saying it's a 2nd generation recording.) Mike asks, "Who's your favorite living person in this room?" A female voice replies. Can you make out what she's saying? I wonder who she was referring to? Clip 2: Mike asks, "Do all the employees wash their hands when they use the restroom?" A male voice replies, Read more [...]

Private Investigation (2/13/15), Pleasanton, CA: In the Back Area (Part 1)

After we spent time in the front area of this location, the group moved to the back area. These clips were recorded in the back area. There was some equipment in a side room that was on, so you'll hear that sound in the background of these clips. Clip 1: You'll hear Mike ask, "What's your favorite thing on the menu?" I can hear a female voice (not one of the 3 women who were present) say what sounds like, "Come in here." I've amplified the portion of the clip where you can hear her voice. Clip Read more [...]

Private Investigation (2/15/15), Pleasanton, CA: In the Front Area

These clips were all recorded in the front area of the location. Unfortunately, there were several machines operating in this area and they could not be turned off for our investigation. Hopefully you'll be able to hear these possible EVPs. Clip 1: This was recorded during a moment of silence. Well, silence by the humans, as you can hear the buzz of the machines in the background. I can hear a woman (not one of us) say, "They split up." The voice is not talking about us, as we all stayed Read more [...]

Private Investigation (2/13/15), Pleasanton, CA: Part 1

On Friday, February 13th, I had the chance to participate in an investigation of a private location in Pleasanton. While I can't tell you the name of the location or exactly where it's located, I can say that it is a public place where people gather. These are some of the possible EVPs that I caught while the group was setting up prior to the investigation starting. Clip 1: In this clip, you can hear Laura J in the background saying, "Uhm..." followed by a pause, before she continues on with, Read more [...]

Jeff Dwyer Talk (2/12/15), Sonoma, CA

I was in Sonoma to check out the Sonoma State Historical Park and to listen to a talk being given by Jeff Dwyer. According to his website, Jeff considers himself a paranormal investigator, writer, researcher, and psychic. He is well known among west coast ghost hunters for his books that collect ghost stories of California, Oregon, and Washington. What makes Jeff even more interesting is his day job: He is a clinical specialist in cardiology; in other words, a heart doctor. I appreciate Read more [...]

USS Potomac (3/29/15): Wrap-Up

This was my first visit to the USS Potomac. I met up with friends to see if we could catch anything on a regular public tour. Jeff Dwyer, noted local paranormal investigator and writer, reports the yacht is haunted by ghosts of the Roosevelt era, when Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the Potomac as the Presidential Yacht. Laura J had also heard the same thing from other sources. So it was time to check it out! Based on what I found in my recordings, I have to say that there are definitely Read more [...]
