These were recorded in Millicent’s Room on the 2nd floor.
Clip 1: A woman in our group says, “Yeah. Why not?” A male disembodied voice says something right after this and before she continues saying, “I can do….” Can you make out what’s being said?
Clip 2: In this clip, you’ll hear Michelle speaking and Jim who says, “Hmm.” At the 2 second mark, a disembodied male voice says something. Can you make out what’s being said?
Clip 3: I like to take trigger objects with me that might be relevant to the location I’m investigating. I think it helps stir up the spirits. This time, I’d taken some small bottles of unopened alcohol to set out. (Spirits of a different kind.) The only problem with this is that the Shinns were a Quaker family and Quakers don’t drink alcohol!
I was concerned that I’d upset the Shinns, so you’ll hear me apologizing for bringing the alcohol. At the 4 second mark, I can hear a voice that says, “That’s alright.”
Clip 4: In this 2nd generation recording, you’ll hear Michelle say something. The recording was slowed down, so that’s why her voice sounds drawn out. At the 2 second mark, a loud male voice says something. Can you make it out? (And it didn’t come from Jim or Mike.)
Clip 5: There was definitely an angry/upset spirit in the house that night. In this 2nd generation recording, you’ll hear Keena say, “…done for women…” which is followed by a disembodied voice saying, “F–k you.” The clip was slowed down during the replay.
Keen was thanking Millicent Shinn because she did some things to better the lives of women in the community. An obviously not-nice spirit responded.
Clip 6: In this 2nd generation recording, Jim says, “OK, Millicent. I’ll go ahead and ask Pam’s question.” Just as Jim says the word “question,” a male disembodied voice says what sounds like “autumn.”
Clip 7: This is another 2nd generation recording. It was slowed down during the replay. You’ll hear Chris say, “I’m going to use a pendulum, too.” A faint voice can be heard saying, “Yeah, take it out.”
Clip 8: Michelle says, “[It] starts with an ‘M.'” You’ll hear one of the humans say, “Oops.” This is followed by a disembodied voice. I’ve reduced the background noise on the clip. Can you make out what this voice says to us? This is a 2nd generation recording.
