Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Pre-Investigation, Part 2

Here are more clips recorded before the investigation started. Clip 1: During the instructions, Laura J says, "Pam's in charge of the group, so I wasn't going to give it [the walkie-talkie] to her." Right after this, a disembodied male voice says, "I want to." Clip 2: Laura J says, "These people deciding they're going to do something else. OK?" She pauses between saying, "...something else" and "OK." In this pause, you can hear a male disembodied voice say, "OK" before Laura Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Pre-Investigation, Part 1

These 1st generation clips were all recorded before the investigation started. This would be the time for set-up, the tour of the building, and Laura J's instructions to all of us. Clip 1: In the midst of people in the background talking, a disembodied male voice says, "Ahhh. Bet some!" When I recorded this, my recorder was on the table in front of me where I was sitting. Pam sat directly across from me. There were no men around me. Notice that the disembodied voice sounds like Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Chapel

The Chapel on the 2nd floor was a very active location for my group. There was some flashlight activity in response to our questions. Also, the walkie-talkie went off for no reason. These clips were all recorded in the Chapel. Clip 1: This is a 2nd generation recording. I say, "I'd really like it if you played a note on the organ." At the 10 second mark, a disembodied voice says what sounds like, "F--k you." This is followed by another disembodied voice that clearly says, "Haunted. Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): 2nd Floor Sounds

The first 2 clips were recorded in the Crow's Nest--the area on the 2nd floor with the tables and chairs, where we set up before the investigation started. Clip 1: You'll hear Vicki say, "I feel like we passed up." Just before I speak, at the 3 second mark, a male disembodied voice can be heard saying what sounds like "My peeps" or "My piece." Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Overheard in the Bar, Part 2

These are 2nd generation audio clips that were recorded during the playback of a quick EVP session conducted in the Bar area in the Crow's Nest on the 2nd floor. Clip 1: I am identifying the location for my recorder. I say, "Starting EVP session..." and pause. In the pause, a male disembodied voice says something. Can you make it out? There's another disembodied voice speaking over me as I continue, saying, "Alameda Naval Air...." I can't make out what this 2nd disembodied voice is saying Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Overheard in the Bar, Part 1

These clips were recorded in the little bar area in the Crow's Nest on the 2nd floor. This was the first location my group investigated. Clip 1: Joke says, "William, I was going to make a drink. At the 3 second mark, a male disembodied voice says, "No." Then, at the 20 second mark (at the end of the clip), another disembodied voice says what sounds like, "I'll keep up." Clip 2: I ask, "Can you tell me when Fleet Week is this year?" At the 3 second mark, Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Talking in the Library

The Library is on the 3rd floor. We encountered some interesting things while in this room. Vicki continued to take photos with her new shadow friend showing up. During the playback of a quick EVP session, we could clearly hear what sounded like the creak made by someone walking. But it wasn't a normal walking pace. We'd hear one creak; then, several minutes later, we'd hear another single creak. While the humans did move during the recording, they didn't move that much. It really Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): In the “Clinton Room”

The "Clinton Room" is located next to the "Obama"/model airplane room on the 3rd floor. These clips were recorded here. It's called the "Clinton Room" because there's a photo of President Clinton. The EVPs are 1st generation recordings. We also had an Echovox (Android app) session and I've included some interesting responses using the app. Clip 1: In this clip, you'll hear me explain what the Echovox app is. At the end, I say, "This is like the spirit box. Sorry." At the 7 second mark, Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): In the “Obama Room”

These clips were recorded in the room on the 3rd floor that houses the model airplanes that are waiting to be displayed in the Museum. It's called the "Obama Room" because it has a sticker with an anti-Obama saying that's stuck on the front of the door to this room. These all are 2nd generation recordings. Clip 1: This was recorded at the start of the quick EVP session we did in this room. You'll hear me set the order for how the questions will be asked. A disembodied male voice says, "You Read more [...]

Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Overheard in the Uniform Room

These clips were recorded in the Uniform Room on the 3rd floor. We were allowed to try on some of the items that are stored in this room. Clip 1: You'll hear me say, "It wasn't 'Heil, Hitler' but something like...." James says, "Comrade?" A disembodied male voice says, "I'm sad." This is followed by another disembodied male voice that says something I can't make out. Can you hear what the second disembodied male voice says? Clip 2: Vicki tried on an old gas mask. In this clip, Read more [...]
