Alameda Naval Air Museum (6/20/15): Chapel

The Chapel on the 2nd floor was a very active location for my group. There was some flashlight activity in response to our questions. Also, the walkie-talkie went off for no reason.

These clips were all recorded in the Chapel.

Clip 1: This is a 2nd generation recording. I say, “I’d really like it if you played a note on the organ.” At the 10 second mark, a disembodied voice says what sounds like, “F–k you.” This is followed by another disembodied voice that clearly says, “Haunted. Sounds like ‘f–k you!” It almost sounds like a human said this but none of us said anything.

Clip 2: This is the 1st generation recording of the same moment. You’ll hear a sound at the 3 second mark; this is the first “F–k you” that you hear in clip 1. Next, you’ll hear Joke say, “OK. I just heard a door open outside the room again. Or a chair.”

Notice that between the sound at the 3 second mark and before Joke speaks, there is nothing to be heard on the clip. This is the same moment that you hear “Haunted. Sounds like f–k you!” in the 2nd generation recording in Clip 1. So clearly no one human said these words. Then who did?

Clip 3: Joke asks, “Anything? Did you hear anything?” At the 2 second mark, a disembodied male voice says, “I don’t know.”
