These are 2nd generation audio clips that were recorded during the playback of a quick EVP session conducted in the Bar area in the Crow’s Nest on the 2nd floor.
Clip 1: I am identifying the location for my recorder. I say, “Starting EVP session…” and pause. In the pause, a male disembodied voice says something. Can you make it out? There’s another disembodied voice speaking over me as I continue, saying, “Alameda Naval Air….” I can’t make out what this 2nd disembodied voice is saying but maybe you can.
Clip 2: Joke asks, “William, is that my father? Or a soldier, lieutenant, or chief?” A disembodied voice says what sounds like, “Call Jim.” I’ve amplified this part of the clip.
Clip 3: Joke asks, “William, I was going to make a drink. Can I make one for you?” At the 8 second mark, there’s the faint sound of a horn honking twice, followed by a disembodied female voice that says, “Cinnamon.”
Clip 4: This clip starts off with a disembodied male voice that says what sounds like the word, “Occupant.” You’ll hear the humans in the room respond to this as they say, “Yeah, that was something [we just heard on the replay].” This is followed by a female disembodied voice that says, “I’m female.”
Clip 5: James asks, “William, did you serve on the Hornet?” A disembodied male voice immediately responds, saying what sounds like “Oak meal.” At the 13 second mark, you’ll hear a squishing noise, which Vicki then tags as her “moving.” Right after this, another disembodied voice says, “Could it.”
Clip 6: Vicki asks, “If there’s anyone here with us, can you make a noise?” A disembodied male voice responds to her question. Can you make out what it’s saying? Note: I’ve slowed this part of the clip down so you can better hear what’s being said.
Clip 7: Michelle looks at a bell mounted on the wall. She asks, “Can you tell me what that was used for?” A disembodied male voice says, “I know.”
Clip 8: I say, “OK, we’re going to start a game of poker. Can I deal you in?” Two different disembodied voices follow, a male and a female voice. I can’t make out what they’re saying but maybe you can. I think the female voice may be saying, “Some people.”
